SPOTTED, NOT YET TESTED
The Radar.
We read the AI tools newsletters that land in our own inbox, mainly There's An AI For That, so you don't have to. This page is where new launches go before they've earned an honest take.
The difference from the main Tool Directory matters: everything above has actually been used on a real task. Everything below has only been read about. When we've tried one enough to trust it, it graduates up and gets an honest take of its own. There's no fixed schedule for updating this page yet - we add to it when something looks genuinely worth knowing about, not on a timer.
| Tool | Category | What it does | Why we're watching | Spotted |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Roger | Advertising | Lets Claude or ChatGPT answer where you're wasting ad spend from your Google and Meta data, and draft fixes. One listing says agents can also change campaigns, within budget caps. | Letting an agent change live ad campaigns is the risky part. Test the budget caps and whether protected campaigns really stay untouched. Listed repeatedly with no sponsor label, so we can't tell if it's paid. Pricing unconfirmed. | 2026-10-22 |
| DigUp | Search | A Mac app that finds files by describing what you remember, including inside recordings and videos, and finds code by what a function does, with the index kept on your computer. | Newsletters call it free, and one says open source; it runs on Apple Silicon Macs with macOS 14 or later. Speed on a large library is unproven. The newsletters describe it slightly differently, so confirm it's one project before relying on it. | 2026-10-22 |
| UseIt Studio | Design | Turns a one-sentence idea into an editable design file for things like stickers, pins and gift boxes, with bleed and fold lines. | Print-ready details are where design tools usually fall down. Test it against a real printer's template before trusting the bleed and fold lines. Pricing unconfirmed. | 2026-10-22 |
| Fish Audio (Drama 3) | Voice | Text-to-speech where you describe how each word should sound, such as whispering, and can re-record single words. | Appeared in four issues across two newsletters, including as a lead item. Delivery control is the claim to test, and Suno Speech and Mercury Voice are in the same space. Pricing unconfirmed. | 2026-10-22 |
| OpenScreen | Video | Turns screen recordings into polished demos with click zooms, a restylable cursor and local captions. | The newsletter describes it as free and open source with no watermark; we couldn't confirm that on the vendor's site. The test is whether the output looks demo-ready without manual fixing. | 2026-10-22 |
| Articos | Research | Puts simulated-buyer research inside Claude or ChatGPT, so you can see how fake customers react to a message or product. | Simulated buyers are not real buyers. Ask how the results are checked against what real customers say. Pricing unconfirmed: none seen in the newsletters. | 2026-10-22 |
| MentionBird | SEO | Shows which sources ChatGPT and Gemini cite in your product category and gives a plan to get your brand named. | Same hard-to-prove claim as Omnio GEO Agent above: how do they show a mention was caused by their plan? The newsletter quotes $79 a month, with a Product Hunt code that cuts it to $19 for three months. We couldn't verify that on the vendor's site, and the code suggests a promotional deal. | 2026-10-22 |
| Sesame | Automation | A voice assistant with its own computer and access to your Gmail, Calendar and Drive. Sesame Link keeps a Claude Code or Devin session going from your phone. | Giving an assistant its own computer plus your inbox is a big trust ask, and we haven't seen how permissions work. Appeared twice with no sponsor label, once in a weekly recap. Availability and pricing unconfirmed. | 2026-10-22 |
| Willow / Wally | Writing | Turns spoken or typed rough ideas into an editable draft in your tone. Willow Knowledge imports your writing style from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. | Three mentions across two newsletters in two weeks, but dictation and writes-like-you tools are a crowded field. Test whether the voice holds up past one paragraph. Pricing unconfirmed, and the links look like launch-page links, so it may be a promoted placement. | 2026-10-22 |
| Wabi | Productivity | Connects to your email and builds shareable mini-apps inside separate chat threads. Founded by Eugenia Kuyda (ex-Replika) and opened to everyone on October 19. | Same promise as the other describe-it-and-get-an-app tools: chat your way to something that works. Test whether a mini-app still works after the first week, and whether sharing one is safe when it can read your email. Pricing unconfirmed: none seen in the newsletter. | 2026-10-22 |
| Google Flow | Video | Google's AI filmmaking studio: describe a shot, generate short video clips with its Veo and Gemini Omni models, then edit and join them into scenes in the browser. | Google's own help pages say it's for ages 18+, works best on a desktop computer in Chrome or Edge, and needs a supported region. Everyone gets 50 free credits a day, but videos can be blocked for free users during peak hours (roughly 2 to 5 pm UTC). Paid plans start with Google AI Plus ($4.99/month, 200 credits) and Pro ($19.99/month, 1,000 credits), with Ultra at $100 and $200 a month. Credits are the catch: per Google, one Veo 3.1 Quality clip costs 100 credits, so a Pro month covers about ten of those, or far more with the cheaper Fast, Lite and Omni Flash options. Unused monthly credits don't roll over, and Google says limits can change at any time. We haven't tested output quality ourselves yet. | 2026-10-09 |
| Fo (by Wajo) | Automation | Personal agent that brings in human assistants for tasks AI can't finish alone. | Sign-ups only just opened. The human-in-the-loop model raises privacy and cost questions we can't answer yet. Fo Mini is free (1,000 tasks a day); Pro pricing is contact-us. | 2026-10-08 |
| Communicate | Customer Support | Turns your help centre, past tickets and docs into a support agent that hands off to a human when it's stuck. | Crowded category. Hand-off quality is what to test. Pricing unconfirmed: we couldn't verify the vendor's site. | 2026-10-08 |
| Web Search Agents (by Nimble) | Research | 25+ ready-made web research agents (due diligence, competitor intel, product monitoring) that the vendor says improve with each run. | "Gets smarter every query" is unproven. Nimble lists 5,000 free requests a month and subscriptions from $2,500/month billed annually; no per-agent price is shown. Repeatedly listed in a section that also carries a paid slot, though this item was unmarked. | 2026-10-08 |
| WZRD | Presentations | Converts a PDF, PowerPoint, spreadsheet or prompt into an interactive deck, doc or form with a built-in voice agent that walks visitors through it. | Interesting twist on decks, but a voice agent narrating your slides could annoy as easily as help. Pricing unconfirmed: none listed on the site. | 2026-10-08 |
| Omnio GEO Agent (by Omnia) | SEO | Finds the questions buyers ask AI assistants, audits your site and writes pages to get your brand mentioned in ChatGPT and Perplexity answers. | "AI search visibility" is a new and hard-to-measure field; ask how they prove a mention was caused by their pages. Plans are listed at €79, €279 and from €499 per month. | 2026-10-08 |
| Finbar | Research | Prebuilt company financial models plus tools to dig through filings and earnings calls. | Financial data is only as good as its sources, which we haven't checked. Finbar's site lists a free tier and Pro Personal at US$200/month. | 2026-10-08 |
| Pexo | Video | Turns a URL, PDF, image, audio or rough idea into a scripted, voiced video you refine by chatting. | Showed up in three newsletters, once as an unmarked first-in-list slot that may be paid. Built on outside video models, so quality may be theirs. Pricing unconfirmed: the site says "Start for Free" with no plans shown. | 2026-10-08 |
| Jev (by TypeSafe AI) | Automation | A decision model that returns typed answers (yes/no, score, pick from a list) with confidence scores, instead of prose. | TypeSafe's site lists $42 per billion input tokens, in early access. The "100x+ cheaper and faster than LLMs" claims are the vendor's own benchmarks. | 2026-10-08 |
| Tesseract (by Mirage) | Video | Lets AI agents like ChatGPT or Claude edit video with real editing tools (keyframes, layers, audio) in one project, running on your own computer. | Mirage's site says the local engine is free; you still pay for your AI agent. Unproven whether agent edits are keepable beyond a demo. | 2026-10-08 |
| Higgsfield Ads Studio | Image | Reads your website, then writes and designs image ads, up to 20 variations per product, with a saved brand kit. | Ad volume is easy; ads that convert are not. Pricing unconfirmed: no per-ad price on Higgsfield's site. | 2026-10-08 |
| Vitra | Productivity | Translates images and documents into 75+ languages and dubs video, with human approval before anything publishes. | Translation quality across 75 languages is the unproven part, and the human-approval step suggests it isn't hands-off. The site offers 500 free credits at sign-up; paid prices are unconfirmed. | 2026-10-08 |
| VoiceCap | Meetings | Joins Zoom, Meet and Teams calls, or records in person, and produces transcripts, summaries and action items in 100+ languages. | Crowded category. VoiceCap's site lists 300 free minutes, then €29 per seat per month plus VAT, with a €49 Business plan. Accuracy beyond English is the claim to test. | 2026-10-08 |
| Imbue Studio | Coding | Builds custom personal software from a workflow you describe, which you can then reshape, with swappable models. | Featured twice by The Neuron. "Describe it and get an app" tools usually fall down after the demo; we need to see one that survives a week of real use. Pricing unconfirmed: waitlist only, no pricing on the site. | 2026-10-08 |
| Hark Pro | Automation | Personal agent that remembers your preferences and completes tasks like shopping, bookings and cancelling subscriptions across web, iOS and Android. | Big-name founder (Brett Adcock) and two lead stories, but no independent test yet. Hark's site lists a free plan plus $20 and $100 monthly plans. Test how often it finishes a real task without hand-holding. | 2026-10-08 |
| Ravenclip | Video | Tracks a niche, finds timely stories, and auto-generates faceless narrated news videos, publishing to TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram about five minutes after a story breaks. | A solo-built product with a clear, specific pitch (news-focused, not generic faceless content) rather than a copy-paste template. Underlying models aren't disclosed and no independent reviews exist yet, so it sits in unverified territory - confirm the pricing and the actual publish-speed claim yourself before recommending it further. | 2026-09-23 |
| Artlist Studio | Video | One subscription for access to frontier video models - Kling, Sora, Google Veo, Hailuo, Seedance, and more - instead of one in-house model. | Established company and transparent per-model credit pricing rather than a flat black-box number, which is a good sign in a category full of opaque credit systems. You're still bound by each underlying model's own limits - this bundles access, it doesn't get around them. Confirm the current tier pricing directly before committing, since credit-based plans shift often. | 2026-09-23 |
| Meshy | Image | Generates textures for 3D models from a description or reference image, and turns 2D images into textured, render-ready 3D models. | A more concrete use case than most image-gen tools this week - genuinely useful for product visualization or game assets. 3D generation quality varies a lot by object category, so test on your actual asset type before judging. | 2026-09-23 |
| Tables | Sales | Finds sales leads from a database of 300M+ verified contacts by describing your ideal customer in plain English, scores each lead, and works inside Claude. | Free to start, so you can validate the lead-scoring accuracy against your own ICP in one sitting rather than taking the pitch on faith. Database-size claims are easy to state and hard to verify - check data freshness directly. | 2026-09-23 |
| Airo Mail | Productivity | Queues replies, calendar changes, and travel or delivery updates into one review list, with drafts you approve before anything sends. | Keeping a human in the loop by design is the right call for an inbox tool. Open question is how much real triage time it saves versus just relocating the same noise into a different queue. | 2026-09-23 |
| WeKnora | Research | Open-source tool that organizes your docs into a searchable knowledge base, with an AI agent that searches it and builds linked wiki pages. | Practical for anyone managing a growing pile of notes. Being open source lets you check whether the auto-generated cross-linking is actually accurate rather than just plausible-sounding. | 2026-09-23 |
| Exa Snapshot | Research | Searches the web as it existed on a specific past date - useful for leak-free model evals and historical research. | Small and sharp, solving something genuinely hard to do otherwise. Easy to verify yourself: pick a known historical event, search a pre-event date, and see if the results actually reflect what was knowable then. | 2026-09-23 |
| RingBooker | Customer Support | Answers salon and spa calls on your existing number while you're with a client, handling appointment changes and following up by text. | A narrow vertical focus usually beats a generalist voice agent on reliability. Confirm it actually integrates with your real booking system before rollout, not just a human checking a text later. | 2026-09-23 |
| ElevenLabs Reception | Customer Support | AI receptionist for small businesses - paste a website URL, it pulls your services and hours, then answers calls 24/7 in 70+ languages. | Backed by ElevenLabs, a company with a real track record in voice AI, which raises the floor over the dozens of anonymous voice-agent startups launching weekly. Still worth a real test call before pointing it at actual customers. | 2026-09-23 |
| BrowserSkill | Automation | Open-source tool that lets AI agents use your logged-in Chrome or Edge tabs, with visible windows and confirmation prompts before sensitive actions. | Genuinely useful, but be clear-eyed: this means handing an agent access to your active, logged-in sessions. Confirm exactly what the confirmation prompts actually gate before connecting it to anything involving money or credentials. | 2026-09-23 |
| Agent Builder by Airtop | Automation | Web agents that "heal themselves" when a target site's layout changes, instead of breaking. | Scraper and agent breakage from routine redesigns is a constant, boring cost. If the self-healing claim holds up even partially it's a real time-saver - but that's a multi-week test, not a demo. | 2026-09-23 |
| Bend 2 | Coding | A programming language where AI coding agents must mathematically prove the code they generate follows your rules, while compiling near C speed. | Early and niche - this is a language, not a drop-in tool, so adoption is a real ask. Worth knowing before you dig in: at least one independent reviewer found the phrase 'formal verification' doesn't actually appear anywhere in Bend's own code or site, and reproduced an equivalent demo in an established verification language (SPARK/Ada) with far less manual proof work, calling Bend 'decades behind the state of the art.' The creators themselves admit to expect bugs, which is honest, but treat the 'mathematically proves' framing skeptically until you've seen it hold up yourself. | 2026-09-23 |
| HyperProbe | Coding | Shows a coding agent the live values inside your running app with no extra logging or redeploying, so you can find a bug in minutes instead of hours. | Currently free with no paid tier at all, capped at one service with unlimited probes and captures - a genuinely generous entry point, though that also means it's a YC-backed startup (S26) that hasn't started charging yet, so don't assume today's free tier is permanent. The claim itself is concrete and testable: either it cuts your debugging time or it doesn't. | 2026-09-23 |
| Worktrunk | Coding | Open-source tool that gives coding agents their own Git workspace, so you can switch between what an agent's doing and merge its changes without it clobbering your working directory. | Solves a real, boring annoyance instead of promising something flashy. It's open source, so read the code before trusting it on a repo you can't afford to lose. | 2026-09-23 |
| Pitch | Presentations | Turns call notes and customer records into on-brand slide decks through an AI assistant you can also use to find and share past decks. | We already like Gamma for outline-to-deck speed. This one leans more on CRM-style data as its input, a different enough use case to be worth a proper look. | 2026-09-19 |
| KnowInsideIQ | Research | Analyzes a product idea against customer reviews and search demand, then returns a risk score and next steps before you build. | The instinct (validate before you build) is right. Whether the scoring is actually reliable, or just confident-sounding output, is exactly the kind of claim worth testing before trusting. | 2026-09-19 |
| Revfer | Customer Support | Drafts review replies, social posts, and customer answers for local businesses, and learns from your edits over time while keeping final approval with the owner. | The approval-stays-with-you framing is the right instinct for anything customer-facing. Whether the drafts are actually good enough to save real time, versus needing a full rewrite, is what we'd want to see first. | 2026-09-18 |
| Acade | Research | Guides academic writing from source research through outlines, citations, and revisions to a finished paper. | The all-in-one promise, research to final draft, is exactly the kind of claim that tends to be strongest at one stage and weakest at another. Worth finding out which stage that is before recommending it to students. | 2026-09-18 |
| AgentGit | Coding | Saves a coding agent's full session, including instructions, reasoning, and tool calls, so someone else can pick up exactly where it left off. | A genuinely useful problem to solve if you hand off work between Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot sessions. Whether it actually preserves enough context to matter is the open question. | 2026-09-18 |
| ZeroClick | Automation | Helps businesses structure their products and content so AI shopping agents can find and recommend them. | A genuinely new problem, being discoverable to AI agents doing the buying instead of just humans, rather than a repackaged old one. Too early to know if the tactics it recommends actually move the needle. | 2026-09-17 |
| Thread | Productivity | An AI-powered journaling app that helps organize scattered thoughts into something coherent. | Personal journaling tools live or die on trust and privacy, which matters more here than almost any other category. Worth understanding the data handling before recommending it to anyone. | 2026-09-17 |
| Toki | Meetings | An AI personal assistant that schedules meetings on your behalf and follows up automatically afterward. | A crowded space already covered by Otter, Fireflies, and Fathom on our main directory, all for the notes side. This one leans into scheduling instead, a different enough angle to be worth checking. | 2026-09-17 |
| Sacha | Automation | Writes and schedules social posts intended to sound like your own voice, rather than a generic AI draft. | The in-your-voice claim is the exact thing every AI writing tool promises and few actually deliver well. Worth a direct side-by-side of how it actually sounds versus how it's marketed. | 2026-09-15 |
| The Flux Train | Image | Trains a custom AI model on your own images so it can generate a consistent character or visual style across a whole batch of images and videos. | Consistency, the same character or product looking right across an entire set, is one of the more genuine remaining weak spots in image generation. Worth finding out whether the training step actually delivers that, or just narrows the same randomness. | 2026-09-15 |
| Open Greet | Customer Support | AI voice agents that answer sales, support, and customer calls. | A crowded and fast-moving category right now, with ElevenLabs' own Reception launching around the same time. Worth comparing a few of these side by side before recommending any one. | 2026-09-15 |
| Perplexity Personal Computer | Automation | Puts Perplexity's computer-use agent on Windows so it can work across your local files, Microsoft 365, and the web from one place. | A genuinely different pitch than Perplexity's search product: an agent acting on your own machine, not just answering questions. That's also exactly the kind of access worth understanding fully before trusting it with real files. | 2026-09-15 |
| Motion by Mosaic | Video | Takes a plain-English video brief and builds an editable motion-design cut, complete with storyboard, voice, music, and captions. | A more automated take than something like Runway or Descript, aimed at people who don't want to touch a timeline at all. Whether the auto-generated edit is actually usable, or just a rough starting point, is what needs testing. | 2026-09-15 |
| CrafterQ | Customer Support | Turns your existing website and documents into a chat agent that answers visitor questions and recommends products. | This category (turn your site into a chatbot) is crowded and quality varies a lot. It's here because we haven't tested this one against the others yet, not because it's proven better. | 2026-09-13 |
| Are You Found By AI | SEO | Checks what several AI chat engines say about your brand versus your competitors when someone asks, and suggests fixes to improve how often you're mentioned. | As more people ask AI instead of Google, this is a genuinely new category worth understanding. Too early to know if the fixes are real tactics or generic filler advice. | 2026-09-13 |
| Fotor Video Agent | Video | Turns a written idea into a product video, animated explainer, or talking-presenter video through chat, with editable motion graphics. | Fotor's photo tools have been around for years, so this isn't a fly-by-night launch. Video quality claims are the easiest thing for any tool to oversell, so it stays untested until we've seen actual output. | 2026-09-13 |
| Rankdesk | SEO | Researches your site, competitors, and target keywords, then writes SEO articles and refreshes older content automatically. | We already recommend Surfer SEO for scoring drafts against what's ranking. This one claims to also write and maintain the content itself, a bigger promise worth verifying before it sits next to Surfer. | 2026-09-13 |
| Reply.io | Sales | Finds prospects and runs multi-channel outreach - email, LinkedIn, calls, texts - with AI drafting follow-ups and booking meetings on your calendar. | A more established player than most newsletter finds, not a brand-new launch, so it's likely more battle-tested than average. Still on our to-test list rather than our recommended list. | 2026-09-13 |
| Cuey | Multi-model | A free Chrome extension that keeps one shared conversation memory across ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, so switching models mid-task doesn't mean re-explaining yourself. | Directly solves a problem our own Big 4 chart implies: most people bounce between assistants and lose context every time. Worth trying before recommending, since a browser extension reading your AI chats is also a privacy question worth asking first. | 2026-09-13 |
